3ds Max: MY TIPS
I have made a few videos recently about the most basic modificators in 3ds Max. Today I will share a few tips for beginners with this programme.
Everyday Design Youtube Channel
What I´m using in every tutorial is the command COPY. You can simply click on your object and either select the MOVE tool or press ,,E" on the keyboard. After this you just press SHIFT on the keyboard and you drag your object in one of the directions.
There are a few keyboard shortcuts for the commands: MOVE ,,W"
ROTATE ,,E"
SCALE ,,R"
As far as rendering is concerned, i don´t use the default 3ds Max engine which is called MentalRay, but I always use the V-Ray. I will make my next blogpost about the diferences. Basically, V-Ray has a better material setting, better shadows, reflections etc. Or maybe it isn´t so uch better, but I have never really workd with MentalRay and the truth is, that V-Ray is the most used rendering engine for 3ds Max. Also if you buy V-Ray once, you can also use it for Sketch up, Rhinoceros etc.
